Abstract

India-UAE relations grow significantly in recent ears with a strong and vibrant history and kick off a new emerging era of partnership with the dilution of advanced economic dominance towards India. Trade liberalization explores dynamism and exogenous factor which opened up windows for opportunities and possibilities for indo-UAE relation and make them centre of attraction for the world for potential growth. India- UAE is on the critical node for bilateral relationship and need to thrive new edges. Geographically, UAE is regarded as an “extended neighborhood” of India which is supported by the natural trading theory which reveals those countries tend to trade more with neighbors and close proximate partners. During the period of 1996-97 to 2013-14, India’s trade intensity to UAE rose at higher rate than its overall world trade. Despite of tremendous performance India needs to diversify export basket pattern for betterment for coping up with other several competition from Asia and advanced countries and there are some area of concern which need to be addressed. The present study is designed to appraise India-UAE bilateral relationship and changing behavior of India’s trade with UAE.
