Particularly among young people, the increasing use of social media platforms has created new dimensions for job searching, professional networking, self-employment, and digital entrepreneurship. The expanding accessibility of smartphones and the internet in India has opened up diverse digital employment opportunities for the youth.</div> <div style="text-align: justify;">The present study aims to analyze the relationship between social media and youth employment opportunities in the context of Bhopal city. As the capital of Madhya Pradesh and an emerging educational and digital hub, Bhopal provides an important case for examining the opportunities associated with the digital economy for young people.</div> <div style="text-align: justify;">The study utilizes both primary and secondary data. Primary data were collected through a structured questionnaire-based survey, while secondary data were obtained from research articles, government reports, and reliable online sources. The findings reveal that approximately 68 percent of the youth in Bhopal actively use social media to secure employment, generate income, or explore professional opportunities. Fields such as content creation, digital marketing, freelancing, e-commerce, and online education have emerged as prominent employment options for young people.</div> <div style="text-align: justify;">Furthermore, social media plays a significant role in enhancing youth skills, facilitating personal branding, and building professional networks. However, several challenges continue to hinder social media-based employment, including limited digital literacy, cybersecurity risks, misleading job advertisements, inadequate digital infrastructure, and policy-level constraints.</div> <div style="text-align: justify;">The study concludes that if young people are provided with adequate digital skills, cybersecurity awareness, and appropriate policy support, social media can serve as an effective platform for employment generation, entrepreneurship development, and economic self-reliance.</div> 2026-04-30T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2026 https://jmsjournals.in/index.php/jmsg/article/view/352 The Role of Counselors in Family Courts in India: An Analysis of Their Functions, Challenges, and Reforms 2026-06-26T18:40:10+00:00 Sarita Rajani saritapoem@gmail.co.in Dr. Rajvendra Kumar Chaudhary saritapoem@gmail.co.in <div style="text-align: justify;">The Family Courts Act, 1984 introduced a conciliation- and counseling-oriented approach for resolving family disputes, replacing the traditional adversarial judicial process. Counselors constitute a vital component of the family court system, entrusted with the responsibility of promoting reconciliation, facilitating the amicable settlement of disputes, safeguarding the interests of children, and assisting judges in understanding the social and psychological dimensions of family conflicts.</div> <div style="text-align: justify;">This paper examines the role, functions, significance, and challenges of counselors in family courts. It also evaluates the shortcomings of the existing counseling mechanism and proposes recommendations for its improvement. The study concludes that although counselors have made a significant contribution to the resolution of family disputes, their effectiveness is constrained by inadequate training, a shortage of personnel, inconsistent appointment procedures, and insufficient institutional support. Therefore, comprehensive reforms are essential to ensure the effective realization of the objectives of family courts.</div> 2026-04-30T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2026 https://jmsjournals.in/index.php/jmsg/article/view/353 Devotion and Depression: A Theoretical Examination of How Structured Spiritual Practice Modulates Rumination, Helplessness, and Family Role Stress in Adult Indian Women 2026-06-26T18:55:18+00:00 Sharma Charu Mukeshwar.P. charusm143@gmail.com Dr. Aarti Kaiwart aarti.kaiwart@dsvv.ac.in <p style="text-align: justify;">This paper is going to take a look at how spiritual practice can help adult Indian women deal with psychological distress. Spiritual practice includes things like puja, meditation and reading scriptures. The paper will examine how these practices might help with three problems that many adult Indian women face: feeling depressed feeling helpless and feeling stressed about family roles.<br>The paper uses ideas from known psychologists to understand these problems. For example, it uses Nolen-Hoeksema's idea about how people think when they are feeling down. It also uses Seligman and Abramsons idea about how people feel when they think they have no control over their lives. It uses Goodes idea about how family roles can be stressful. The paper then goes on to identify four ways in which spiritual practice may help with these problems: allowing women to focus on something, helping them to find purpose in their lives, giving them support from their community, and helping them to feel more in control of their lives.<br>Spiritual practice is not a solution though. The paper also looks at how spiritual practice can be used to avoid problems instead of dealing with them. It looks at how women might use practice to hide their suffering instead of talking about it. The paper thinks about how things like caste, class and marital status can affect how women use practice. Finally, the paper talks about what this means for helping women with problems and what future research should look at. Spiritual practice, like meditation and reading scriptures can be helpful, for adult women but it is not always easy to use it in a helpful way.</p> 2026-04-30T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2026
