Status of women in India and current issues: with special reference to the 21st century

Abstract

Through this research paper, an attempt has been made to analyze the status of women in India and an attempt has been made to shed light on the issues and challenges that affect the status of women. Today, the status of women in the 21st century is an important topic of concern and also a serious challenge for society. If we look at our day-to-day life, we will find that women are suffering from different types of social obligations in their life. Women's empowerment is a very powerful weapon to enhance women's confidence, rights, and abilities. Using this she can live her life in a more determined and orderly manner which is necessary for her strength. Women empowerment is generally a process of socio-political-economic development of women where their strength is necessary. This is the process that raises the voice to stop all kinds of violence against women at every level. This study is entirely based on secondary sources. It appears from the study that women are backward as compared to men and they have second place in society. By studying and researching, promoting education for women, proper implementation of employment and social thinking laws, and change in political practice and structure, the goal of strengthening the status of women can be achieved.
