The trend of cinema in India is considered to be very old, if we look at Wikipedia, then we will find that the decade from 1890 to 1920 was. Films were made even at that time, the most vivid example of this was a film presentation by Professor Stevenson in 1897 at the Calcutta Theatre. There was the Indian cameraman Hiralal Sen, who made a film called Flower of Persia from the photography done in the Calcutta theatre. At that time it was about 1898, after which many more films were shot. With this work, Indian cinema started once and after that, the history of Indian cinema and its film era started which brought a great change. After this, Dadasaheb Phalke, who is called the father of Indian cinema and gave his lifelong contribution to Indian cinema, in the 20th century, Indian cinema, United States cinema, and the Chinese film industry became a worldwide industry. If we look at the statistics of the year 2013, India has come first in film production. In view of all these achievements, if we look at Indian cinema, then we will find that Indian cinema has shown new ways to eradicate the evils of society and to make the people of India prosperous academically and financially. And it is believed that cinema is the mirror of the country in which the filmmakers make films to overcome the shortcomings of the society and on those social issues which are prevalent in the society and how to remove them from society. Methods are shown. Due to this, the general public is also aware and also works to fight against evils. By studying the status of Indian cinema and Indian legal provisions through this research paper, what is the contribution of the Censor Board to keep Indian cinema in check?
